Ms. Semra Buza's duties as head of department include supervising the status of implementation of laws and other regulations within the competence of the department; preparing laws and other regulations on the protection of forests and forest fire prevention; and harmonising domestic regulations with the guidelines of the European Union and international regulations. She also supervises and coordinates the work of the Reporting and Forecasting Service and forest fire prevention affairs; coordinates work with international organisations and bodies associated with forest protection and plant health; cooperates and exchanges information with experts and scientific institutions and other administrative bodies responsible for protecting forests; and participates in the work of professional bodies in the field of forest protection, including the drafting of programmes and documents.
